Hi, I’m Kaitlin
I am a somatic psychotherapist, trauma-informed consultant, mindfulness teacher, and nature lover. I am passionate about helping people and the Earth heal through mindful, compassionate living. As a psychotherapist, a “soul healer”, I take a whole-being approach to my work (mind, body, soul) and incorporate aspects of spirit, as defined by each client, into the healing work.
I have been captivated and curious about the Human Spirit and how we heal for as long as I can remember. Looking back, I see the through-line connecting past jobs and roles in my life around the shared intention of helping others. My interest in western psychology and working with trauma solidified during my experiences working as a deputy sheriff. These experiences opened my eyes and heart to the daily impact of trauma on human lives, both within the community I served as well as my department.
As a psychotherapist, I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, including: community mental health clinics, mobile crisis unit, school-based counseling, and private practice. In addition, I have volunteered as a clinician at the West Coast Post-trauma Retreat (WCPR) providing treatment and co-facilitating a week-long intensive program for first-responders with post-traumatic stress. For more information and resources, please visit http://www.frsn.org/retreats/wcpr
I specialize in somatic psychotherapy (mind-body connection), mindfulness, and soul wellness. I currently work with individuals who are ready to “up-level” their life for greater regulation, balance, and freedom in their lives. While I recently shifted the focus of my practice out of trauma processing, the years of specialized training I received in the treatment of trauma continues to inform all of my work.
